Never ever have I had a smoked duck before, I’ve tried roasted or braised Asian duck, but never smoked. This method takes the flavor to a whole new level, my husband, son and I devoured the whole thing in one day. We ate it with a cloud bun and caramelized some in a skillet like bacon, mmmmm!!!

amazing -its like getting an entire duck that has been made into confit we toss it in pasta for a fast amazing dinner, put it in salad , warm and snack on it, sliced paper thin on a basil leaf for an appetizer, use the bones in sauce and we save the wings as the crowning ingredient in a cassoulette.

I had smoked duck before from one of those Christmas catalogs my mom used order from. it was OK. not nearly as most and flavorful as this smoked duck however. like all duck its very greasy but the meat..... OMG its good chilled and good in the oven heated at 300 for 10 minutes. will be ordering again. probably shouldn't have eaten the entire thing in 2 sittings but thats what I do all the time with duck since its not very meaty. thats probably dumb and doubly so because the grease and fat are prevalent. but over all this is a fantastic dish in moderation. 5 stars all day.
